Watching it now, top man that Ray, all ways loved his shows, only right he drives a landy! Bow down

He is.

Had the pleasure of spending some time with him this year, in the woods (oo' ear missus) and he is the real deal - genuine, down to earth and exactly as you'd hope he would be based on his programs. A true gent.

Another Defender owner, whom I respect greatly is Monty Don - drives his own Def 90 (TD5 - might be a 300?) in all of his TV work.

Hope it comes to Aus.
We used to live in Herefordshire, in a village called Vowchurch, where my Dad was The Vicar. A river flowed past the Church,..would that've been The Wye?

Thanks for the heads up. Just downloaded it. I love Ray Mears, I have tickets to one of his talks in March, can't wait!

A Land Rover with an open canoe on the roof is my idea of bliss! 😀

Yep it's the River Dore through Vowchurch which then flows into the River Monnow on the England/Wales border then onto the River Wye at Monmouth, so Pickles, it does get to the Wye eventually Thumbs Up

Thanks guys, "The River Dore", now I remember, it was a long time ago.
On one occasion Mum stopped outside the Church, and when she went to drive off she couldn't because the road had iced up & she didn't have enough momentum/traction to get over the bridge,...too much wheelspin,...very rare on an Austin 10!!
