Rear view camera wiring
Hi all. Have fitted a rear view camera to the underside of the rear number plate light. Had to make a small cut in the housing to pass the cable from the camera through then into the car through the same grommet as the light and out from behind the speaker panel.

Question is how do you recommend I connect into the reverse light as it seems the wiring for that runs under the car or am I mistaken?

All on a 2007 110 CSW.

Electrics certainly not my strong point so thank you in advance.

Use one of these to connect into reversing lamp and connect two bare wires to your camera.

Thanks for that Romadog, looks a neat solution for the connection.

My problem is more how do I get the wires that are now in the car, exiting from behind the rear speaker panel out to connect them to the reverse lights or via that harness?

Remove speaker panel on lhs and there should be some wires coming up through the floor via a grommet. Run wires through this. Remove reverse lamp and plinth. You should see your wires there.

OK, hoped that would be the answer. Could not get speaker panel out so only removed the speaker did fitting from there.

Had the "if I pull this any harder it will break" anxiety with the panel, is there a knack or just more force?

Wondered if the window surround had to come out first?

Take the 3 clips out and with a bit of fiddling it will come out.

You will probably also need to remove the trim from around the small window that is above the speaker panel as it is fitted slightly over the top of the speaker panel. This needs a hard pull and it will come off its clip fixings.
