Evoque Torch
Hi,

I saw that someone fitted one of these Evoque torches some time ago. Does anyone know if the torch is LED or how bright it is?

Cheers

Yan

It is LED I believe and pretty bright. It also has three modes on it - one permanent, one flash (I assume for emergencies) and no idea what the third is. I'm going to get one to fit into my wife's 90 as it's rechargeable.

I've got one for Xmas, although don't yet have the new 110 to fit it in!

Fantastic torch, really well built, yes LED and very bright.

Modes are: dim/lower power, full brightness, Morse SOS flash, off.

Any other questions I can help with? Cheers, David

Any idea of the cost David? I'm seeing them on eBay for around the £130 mark and pretty much the same on other sites. Also, am I correct in thinking it is definitely rechargeable so can be wired in to the Landy to keep it topped up?

Thanks for your help my friend Thumbs Up

I got mine here, quite a bit less than £130: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/161924295033

Yes definitely rechargeable and docks nicely with good looking connectors etc.

I've not decided exactly where it wil fit in the 110 yet- it's a little deeper than you might think so you need good clearance behind whichever panel you mount it in.

To be honest I'm surprised it's not a more 'popular' modification as its a great bit of kit and really handy to have it always charged and a permanent home etc. Cheers, David

Definitely rechargeable.

They do look the part, but at £130?????

I'm sure there will be other alternatives out there.

They do look the part though.....

As I said, got mine for ~£100 posted which I thought was pretty good value for a high quality, bright, LED, rechargeable torch & dock which is Land Rover branded. Cheers, David

I'm surprised more people haven't done it David. I've got an emergency kit in my wife's 90 that already has a seriosuly bright LED torch in it but this is much smarter and if you can fit it somewhere flush it'll look OEM which is always better. Thanks for the link, really appreciated Thumbs Up

How deep is it? Would it fit into the passengers side of the central facia? Myers - Somewhere on Salisbury Plain

Ive heard reports of them burning out... anyone experienced this?

I quite like the idea of the torch being inbuilt there and always charged as youre driving around!

Easy to fit - I used a right angle attachment with a cutting disk on a dremel to make the hole. Connected it to the back of the aux socket 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX
