In over six months, I was able to spend a bit of quality time with my Landy...
The K-Special starts to receive some love and attention since taking delivery in October - and I have managed to fit in its first 1k miles since then too... Fitted some 'special delivery' Blind Spot mirrors, the Intermittent Wiper Relay, I have had for too many months, and checked out the UltraGuage fitted with a new 'Special Loom' courtesy of a certain member of Admin... It was a lovely afternoon, warm and dry and felt really good to be pottering around my Special for the first time since it was finished... Nice one Simon... I shall have to remember to leave appropriate periods between posts in future then, just so you can keep re-energising your Green envy... And @Steve E - thanks Steve, feels good to be able to start playing again... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

That Wiper mod was the best thing ive done to a defender in terms of every day use. Something I never thought i'd need and found myself using all the time once I had it.
110 Still looks great Rog |

Thanks Tom...
The wiper mod was too easy to do and equally easy to set up and adjust... To be fair, with very little use to date, it is not hard to keep the Special looking smart... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

I don't know what you mean Pete...
Yes, really pleased with the mirrors, although it was a bit of a sod getting the old ones off... As you can see, I went with one of each in the end, but have not yet tried them out on the road... Intermittent wiper relay is a no brainier !
Also went for the floor heater deflectors, a steal as well. Door handles not too cracking lasted 8 months, and ended up going for some leather ones that are a 100 times better than standard. Thanks Lofty...
Are you referring to the bog standard door pulls that have kaputted... I have my eyes on something along the lines of the Heritage billet aluminium ones... Keepers indeed, let's hear it for keepers... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Hi Rog, hope you had a good Christmas and all that!
As for the above, no changed the originals to the MUD UK ones. They only lasted 8 months, originals were digging into my thigh so went for flexible ones. Did find a use for one of the originals on the MSS Drawer! Happy Days Rog. PS: The wheel incident will never reach the inter web, mind you still waiting for replacement 6 pot Discs from TMD 2015 90 Keeper 2005 R300 Keeper 2019 XC40 Shopping Trolley 2008 110 XS Utility (Friday Build) Gone! |
