I think you might find that the majority vote will be for VGS. As for your point that Masai are the longer trading company just take a step back and think that the man that would fit your glass if you go with VGS has been doing vehicle glazing probably for a lot longer than any of those from Masai and I'd be pretty confident that you will have whatever you have fitted, being fitted properly.
I'd be going with VGS |

Heard only good things about both to be fair, but LandyGlass seem to be the expert in this particular product and very highly regarded. Cheers, David

I spoke to him on the phone and he comes across as a really stand up bloke. He told me about his glazing experience and truth be told, in my mind he's been in front of Massai all along I just wanted to gauge peoples opinions before I go ahead. To get him to come and fit both sides, rear and rear door half glass is almost Ł1k so I just wanted to make sure. Thank very much for your opinion

Dave at VGS has been dong vehicle glazing for some 30 odd years so you could just about say he is experienced at fitting vehicle glass.
If I remember correctly VGS glass is made in Scotland (?) whereas Masai glass is made in Turkey. VGS glass extends to the rear corner of the vehicle which is then sealed with black mastic/silicone/glazing component. If you look carefully at the Masai fitting instructions you will see their glass stops a few millimetres short of the corner. We have VGS glass fitted to our white 90. Guess where my vote will be going! Brendan |

I went for VGS. He drove down to Cuffley, Hertfordshire and did a fantastic job.

Dave has fitted glass to my 90 and then to my newer 110.
Both times excellent work, brilliant product and would again with Dave in a flash. He is a top bloke, knows his stuff inside out, only uses the best products available and has OCD to get things done and looking perfect. I have seen some Masai fitments and I wasn't impressed before I went with Dave on my original 90. They might have improved since but having seen them both side by side I would for for VGS every time even if it was 3x the price. It is wirth it to be don properly. James |

Out of curiosity, does the panoramic glass still allow for fitment of a roof rack? From the photos I can't tell how big the gap is between glass and gutter

Yes I have used standard LR roof bars so see no reason why a roof rack would not fit.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to Dave last night via text message and as soon as he gets the heated rear door half glass in he's going to come down to do the full install. I can't wait to meet him, he sounds like a top bloke indeed.
