Stunning vehicle. Absolutely beautiful and a real piece of history. Enjoy! Love that bag too and its slot behind the driver's seat. |

Discovered the answer to my own question when I took off my dash panel for installation of this Maglite support. In above question I speak about "isomo", which actually is French for styrofoam, at the time I could not think of this English word for it. The underside of my dash panel does have this styrofoam type white block like all other Pumas, and it is not glued on, but stuck on with two self tightening spacer type thingies. Had to remove these which is not easy, but you can do it with a long simple flat screwdriver, just patiently prying round and round until they slowly come loose. Now once the styrofoam type block is removed, it is easy to see that the stainless part of the Maglite support, which is not available commercially but which I was able to get hold of anyway, has two parts which fit under the styrofoam block, plus on the front side has a long strip of double sided tape. So simply put the stainless support in the right place with the double sided tape firmly touching the rear side of the frontal part of the dash panel, and then put the styrofoam type block firmly back in place over the two stainless ends of the support, fixed with the two reusable self tightening spacers. It is actually the styrofoam block which is doing 99% of holding the Maglite support in place, the double sided tape is doing the rest. The stainless/leather support for our Heritage editions is very well designed by JLR Switzerland, just like the stainless safari door support for the 102 Swiss "Legend" leather tool bags is. Most importantly, it all fits and suits the SVX like a glove. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Well, it should be tarnscheiwerfer, my spelling error.
It is a blackout light used on Swiss military vehicles. No real purpose on my car, just for looks. |

Tarnscheinwerfer, to be correct. Ein wenig Respekt für die deutsche Sprache, ja? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I am still looking forward to collecting my Heritage 90 SW from Safenwil, but now this has to wait until 2016 unfortunately! |
