Only 400.000 What a disappointing bummer. Shockingly low for such highly publicised specimen. Expectations were much, much higher.
Wouldn't even sell the SVX for such amount. That one is priceless to me. And, it has more than 200cc more engine capacity than this 2 millionth The UK bidders quickly dropped off, were they really there I wonder? Aussie buyer? If so, the bright side is that it probably won't easily rust away from the rain there. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw Last edited by ericvv on 16th Dec 2015 8:53pm. Remarkable result! I reckon that's the highest price achieved for a new car that's not a collectible sports car. A big shot in the arm for Defender values in the near future.

Are you serious?
Hardly likely to impact prices on local forecourts...or will main dealers be adding a zero to all the prices in the morning? Last edited by Supacat on 16th Dec 2015 6:56pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I was expecting it to go for a lot more...
Re: the live feed, I think that only the auctioneers mic was working. I could hear him fine and if I zoomed in on the video it filled the screen fine. Very exciting to watch, bet it was good there...Matt...? cheers simon Last edited by couplands on 16th Dec 2015 6:57pm. Edited 2 times in total |
