Don't know why the link won't work? Google Ultimate Finish, click on blog, its the last car to be featured.

Agreed, nice article on detailing...
If you don't mind me asking, what cost is a top job like that sir... So, that's the topside done and sorted... What are you doing about the all important underside... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Well that's a good question. I've owned Defenders for years, a restored Series 1 in my twenties through to this. I've never treated any of them and whilst others tell me I've got to under seal and protect I'm still undecided. I'm adding an original LR radio I took out of an 07 HT, tow bar, single folding side steps, rubber load liner, locking wheel nuts, tracker and that's about it. It will be used but not every day otherwise locked in my garage! |

Gorgeous defender 7JJM and lovely to see you getting it nicely sealed straight out of factory.
How does the underside look any plans to get this sealed? I've been wondering whether there's a way to offer the protection of a waxoil / dinitrol treatment but without quite as much 'gunkie' complete coverage of everything. I realise the contradiction, but would be nice to achieve the same protection without having to cover everything up in 3mm of something that looks like (and probably is!) tar!! |

Jbk that's my thought exactly. Keep it looking original but protect the crevices?

It would be great wouldn't it, but short of re-powdercoating/painting all components to a higher standard then I'm not sure what the solution is. I'd be very interested to know what alternatives there are also. I'll post a question up and try to get a bit more attention on this.
