Invested in my new genuine Sawtooths and BFG KO2 ATs. Surprisingly good on road (no more noisy than Continentals)
and look literally tough as old boots. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge '65' plate Defender XS 110 Station Wagon '16' plate Mini Clubman Cooper SD '15' plate VW E-Golf |

I went for 235s, wanted less noise and increased steering lock. Also traditionally found the 235s are more suitable for the tracks in and around Exmoor that are very narrowly rutted. '65' plate Defender XS 110 Station Wagon

Seems like the right choice. In just a fashion tart 😀
Tbh the noise was a big facture for me. I ran the MTR's on my last one and these are incredibly quiet by comparison. On road handling is also much improved. I see we have a lot in common, we run a 180 caravelle as well (and a small hatchback). |

Where did you end up getting them from ?
I'm looking at the 265 version. What was the best price you found & where ? I was thinking of the Coopers ST max's but I think I've now changed my mind back to the Bfg's |

Martin I spent the months before mine arrived going back and forth with tyres. If I'm being honest I was getting a bit obsessional. I had the MTR's on my last one but it was more for the look than need. I'm lucky enough to have a job where I get to drive a defender (and lots of other 4x4's) in some pretty tough off road conditions and our work cars have the standard all terrian, so I was well aware that they were all the tyre I ever needed, but just didn't like the look of them. So I was very pleased by how the KO2's stacked up in "look tough" but "drive great" stakes.
I got mine from www.oponeo.co.uk (I'd never heard of them) but they where £116 each (with vat and delivery). Took about 5days to start arriving and came in 3 deliveries!!! But great service and tyres spot on. |

Thanks for the info.
I currently run the BFG mud's but to be honest don't really need them that's why I'm going to swap to the At's. The new all terrains seem to look slightly different, bit more shoulder on them giving a bit more meaty appearance. |
