1955 Series 1 107"
Introduced Thomas my Series 1 107" to HUGH the other week. They got on well together, the only problem is HUGH makes Thomas look in need of a rebuild - but I like the patina which has taken 60 years to acquire. He goes well with his original 2.0 spread bore IOE, at least on the flat & downhill!

You guys are lucky down under regarding your Series 1s, there are some nice early examples over there.

Thanks Ian, yes we are lucky & it is mainly due to the weather & lack of rain I believe. My 107 has minimal rust, but lots of sun damage & scars from a hard working life on a farm, before a restoration of running gear for extended off road touring. The previous owner did the Canning Stock Route back in 2004 & I have clocked 10000miles all over West Australia, mostly off the tarmac. I hope that my Heritage will follow suit but I won't be around in 60 years to see how it held up! Perhaps a great grandson/daughter will be nursing it along.
