Firstly
What size cable and what size fuse is running each item. The cable coming from the pole, i presume is going to the Chalet or is it going to your caravan. |

Sorry I am a complete novice with electric the cable is running from a pole through a field to my chalet that's what's on site the now it's been there for a few years, it run s to the rear of the chalet to meter that's in a box, the size of the cable? I don't know tbh but I can remember I looked thing to me probably a bit thicker than my thumb?
What my dad what's to do is somehow hook his static caravan up to my chalet to get electric to him I know nothing of electric but I would have though he should maybe run a new cable from the pole to him (perhaps upgrade from both us at the time?) or something or run a line from somewhere before my meter and out his own meter in? Thanks john |

Depends on the load being likely to be used.
If you are likely to use power from all locations at the same time it'll overload and will trip. In this instance you'd be better of with a new supply, from pole to meter and then to a new consumer unit. (Trip switches) Otherwise if it's intermittently being used and relatively low load which I think from what you say it will be then it will be okay as it is. All depends on what good will be used and what power they draw. The cable you describe is armoured cable, if it was installed correctly it should be in the ground with electrical warning tape on top for warning in case of excavation. (Not electrical tape, but underground tape on a roll especially for this purpose.) I would say most households at one time would only usually draw a max of around 20A at any one time but as I mention it depends. Hair dryer, tumble dryer etc draw about 12A each. A professional individual will likely be along shortly though. |

It's been buried with yellow tape on it. It was installed by Scottish power employee's "on the side"

Ok
Are the cables that you want to run to the statics going to be temporary or permanent. If they are temp cables, i would run one cable to each van from your meter position fuse board. You will be getting the electricity board to run new supplies to the new houses and installing a new transformer i would think. Most statics on caravan sites are connected via a 10-16A mcb. i would run yours off 32A as you don't want things to trip out. If you let me know the distance of the cable you need to run i can calculate what size is required. |
