Help, stranded
Just getting a click when I turn the key, battery seems fine, lights aren't dimming like I'm pulling many amps.
Anything I can hit ?

Sounds like your starter solenoid has worn out contacts. Keep turning the key several times, sometimes you get lucky and it sparks and catches. Otherwise bump start it and don't turn it off. If you are on a small incline you can try forward or reverse bump start, you only need about five feet to do it. If it is the solenoid its a half hour job to repair and the kit is available very cheap. Good luck. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

If it clicks I'd say starter motor too, it should jump start. Ray

Broken earth lead gearbox to chassis. I had similar symptoms and changed my starter when it still wouldn't start we investigated further and eventually found that earh lead terminal end had broken at the gearbox .

The solenoid contacts! Bottom one is worn after 100,000km top is brand new.

Solenoid contact kits on eBay are only about £15/£20 and are really easy to fit Ray

This is a very timely topic. Over the last few days mine has developed a habit of clicking when I turn the key, then only turning over a few seconds later. Likely to be the same problem?
