Slightly different tip.....

I notice you have a portaloo fitted in. We took one on a recent trip to the Alps. Great idea for wild camping, makes life much more pleasant, BUT, be very careful! As you climb the Alp the pressure drops, and the seal cannot prevent air from making its way out of the toilet. Not in itself a worry. It however has a seal configuration which when the pressure rises again, gets pressed more forcefully against the sealing face. That means it is perfectly capable of holding the lower pressure that your climb to altitude gave it even when you drop down again to the bottom of the Alp.

The result is that the outside pressure crushes the toilet. We were lucky, ours was flexible enough to not crack and fail.

On your way back down the Alp.... Whichever Alp you pick!!! Press the vent button to let air back into it occasionally. Or you may end up with a cracked toilet and an unpleasant experience!

Just my tuppence Very Happy

That's OK. We didn't check till we got half way back up France, by which time the toilet was a very strange shape indeed!! Have a great trip.

These are apparently fitted as 'standard' in Australia... as no one looks in their mirrors before changing lanes out here! Very Happy YOLO... You Only Live Once...
