Anyone fitted larger speakers in a Puma dash?
Just wondering - Can you fit, say, 13cm speakers in a Puma dash?

Obviously you'd have to enlarge the holes, and there's obstruction issues with the heater on the n/s speaker, but, anyone managed it - Would open up a whole extra slew of less expensive (And probably better sounding) speakers.

Hmmm......84 views so far, but no reply.

Think I have my answer! Sad

Well, I'm going to have a further look, and see how much room there is. Does anyone know if the 'end caps' of the dash (i.e. left and right sides) come off separately or is everything integral to the dash?

I've seen an adaptor that you attach to the original mount but houses a 2 inch lager speaker. Its an inch or so thick, almost like a wheel spacer. I noticed it at some chinky parts place over here. That would mean no cutting. Will post if I find them again over the next few days.

I found it easier to replace the standard dash speakers with some better pioneer ones and then put a small Alpine powered sub in (fastened to the back of the cubby box). I think this is a much easier solution and sounds infinitely better than anything you could fit in the dash.

Just my 2p's worth.....
