I was going to ask about the fuel gauge, but found this thread on a search.
Mine is definitely the most non linear gauge of any vehicle I ever driven.

When I fill up it goes way past "full" and then doesn't move for ages, as someone else mentioned. Currently done 40+ miles and there is still clear daylight between the top line and the needle. It can be 50 miles or more before the needle actually moves down below top line and onto the scale.
It will then move slowly down till about the half way point, fooling you into thinking you are on for a record distance Laughing and then fall much quicker after that. When the warning light comes on, it takes about 50 litres to fill up.

MY16 90 has a 60L tank?

I think from memory the light came on last time at 250 miles range, so 50 miles to drop below top line and then 200 more miles to fall all the way to the bottom.

Is this normal or is it worth getting it looked at while it is still new under warranty?
Thanks

edit: just noticed thread title refers to 2.4 Puma Embarassed but it didn't seem worth starting a new thread for essentially the same question.

Some history before the consumption
Odo had 32 k km when I bought it in 2013. Odo now on 68 k. Most of the 36 k km that I have put have been on overland trips. Fully loaded and 2 people on board.

Overall average : 10.29 ltr / 100 km or about 27.6 mpg
