Might be worth having a chat with Joe and Steph @ JAS landrover, they are based just outside Pocklington near York.
http://www.jas-lr.co.uk See this post about my experiences with them http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic38874.html They offer Dinitrol protection , it is a 2 day application , clean , prepare, mask , then apply..... Not a silly amount either , ( cost wise) relative to the work involved, never mind the cost of the product. The wife's Disco is going in shortly to be done, it's a nasty mucky job, but with someone paying attention to the nooks and crannies, and carefully masking all paint etc. It's far less stressful when you leave it with someone you trust, than someone just blathering everything with it, and leaving you with lots of cleaning and rectifying issues when you get it home Peace of mind knowing it's protected for many winters to come, is one less thing to worry about Give them a bell, and see what you think. Price wise, jas quoted £375 I think it was, that was for the wife's Disco 3 , which to be fair is probably easier than a Defender , relative to the mass of nooks and crannies and small surface area bits.
Ultimately, if interested , give them a bell, ask what the standard job, standard price is ( assuming there is a specific price, as many want different approaches/end results ) then you can personalise it to suit either budget or specifics. Don't take it as gospel , as I am guessing rather than stating Few pics below I pinched off their FB page, here...... https://www.facebook.com/JASLandRoversLtd/ Though as I am not on FB there may be more to look at if you are a member ( if that's how it works ) Cheers, Nick Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge "Procrastination is the thief of time" |

I certainly wouldn't be doing it myself this time of year, any washes, singular or multiple simply will not fully dry with low temps and generally damp atmosphere at the moment, at worst you may end up trapping moisture underneath the "protection" layer.
Having a access to a large dry unit/shed is the ideal, and a large hot air heater /blower device, would make it much better for guaranteeing a perfect surface to then layer up the protection. Imo "Procrastination is the thief of time" |

Four plus 4 in Leeds are closer to you.
However be warned at this time of the year they will want it for a week to allow it to dry properly. Give Brian a ring on 0113 2438116 Brendan |
