This happens to mine, as it sits usually all week as its a weekend/snow car. Often in the cold weather it'll idle high for a while. Then after 2 mins its ticking over normally. I think it might be a cold start procedure when the temperature is quite low. Mine has done this for years, nothing bad to report 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.
