As far as I know it's not been proven either way who Britpart source their wheels from. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

It's very rare I disagree with you James, but I do in this case.
The reason is that there are only 2 types of sawtooth produced (unlike UJ's where every man and his dog have a go at producing them), the type with thin spokes, and the type with thick spokes. (and yes Martin, I know this has been said before....) Guess which type Britpart supply. And LRS for that matter.... |

Emoticons or not you are still being awkward because I don't agree with your opinion on the provenance of Britpart Sawtooth wheels, an opinion which is being repeated as fact.
I personally think it is important that people are not misled and are not told that genuine wheels = Britpart wheels because you saw a Britpart truck at an LR dealer. You are the one who has ignored and belittled comments opposing your view, and not just comments from me. Life is too short for this nonsense, if you want to get all stroppy about it then that is up to you. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Martin what exactly is your problem? Your now calling me stroppy even though it was you who accused me of being childish? Your worse than my mother when I was a teenager!
It's not my intention to mislead people either. I've been a long standing member of various LR forums. I was only sharing with people what I know. Unlike others who just guess and presume they are right. Get a grip of yourself man. |

IF both LR and XX Parts supplier bought there wheels from the same place then when LR have LR CAST into the wheel would it not be there on the XX Parts supplied wheel.

Not necessarily. OEM just means 'made by someone who once made parts for car manufacturers'. Land Rover can buy at one spec and Britpart/whoever at another (lesser) spec and still quite rightly call it OEM. The LR logo would be unlikely to be included on the aftermarket version, though that's not to say it couldn't be.
Frankly I've no idea who makes what in this case - just wishing to point out that just because supplier A supplies wheels of design X to both Land Rover and aftermarket suppliers it doesn't mean that they are the same in specification/quality. |

I rang Paddock on Monday and Tuesday of this week to order a set of 5 saw tooth alloys and twice (when I eventually got through) a woman took my number and assured me the bloke who deals with it would ring me straight back. I guess he couldn't be bothered. I rang today and couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone at all so I won't be wasting my time and trying to order anything from them in the future. I rang 4x4 tyres who were more than helpful and sorted me right out so kudos to those for the very friendly and helpful chap who does answer the phone.
