I think I will wait for the 1st patch to fix the bugs before downloading , no rush.

Updated the laptop (because it's disposable and hasn't got any work stuff on it). It took ages to update, three or four hours or so, I stopped checking it after a while and went out. It worked except for needing additional installations of AVG anti-virus that didn't run and the smart gestures driver on the mouse pad. All in all, it's done a fine job of updating and everything seems to work, even my 'I obtained it legally officer' software. I'll still leave it a while before I update the work PC, if ever.
It's not too different to Windows 8, a different layout here and there, different colour scheme but nothing that jumps out and screams NEW. |

tried to install windows 10 on my tough book over the weekend but found lots of Panasonic features not compatible with Windows 10 (at the moment - I guess the drivers will come along eventually)
so I cancelled the install but it's not easy ... you have to delete the temporary windows install folder, hide the windows 10 update from the windows update folder, then you have to uninstall the windows 10 notification update, then you have to hide the windows 10 notification update from windows update ... phew |

Mac OSX Yosemite on a macbook pro retina13 for me, updated to OSX el capitan last night.
I wish i bought one years ago. had windows before that. XP good, Vista awful, 7 ok, 8 was awful, huge let backwards in my opinion, 8.1 wasn't much better. both 8 and 8.1 were run a samsung ultrabook which was a disaster too, it spent more time being fixed by samsung than i ever did using it. Ive had an iPhone and iPod for years, and have owned a succession of iPads which i use when I'm working away, (brilliant device, can do 80% of what i use a computer for) having a mac allows all to be integrated seamlessly and remember all the stuff i can't and share it between themselves. |

Hi Richard.
From memory it was a free trial then I got billed the next month for £34:99. I can't remember mate if I registered or they got in touch with an offer. Just thought it was worth a heads up. Cheers Andy T. |
