Not keen at all
What's with using the designer name? is it just for an advert or that is actually a model? |

I believe they gave Paul Smith a defender and asked him to costomise it as he saw fit. This was what he came up with.. http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/uk-en/paul-smit...r-defender |

That made me laugh! What's with the "getting other people to design it" thing? Have they not learnt from last time, letting Victoria Beckham loose on the evoque? You just know she went in there and said "I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want...." It reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Homer designs a monstrosity at his brother's car factory! Charles Spencer King would probably have a thing or 2 to say about his wonderful, timeless creation. -why not jump on the King Richard III thing, and get descendants to have an input. I'd love to see what relatives of the Wilkes Brothers would do, whilst trying to keep the spirit of the original Land Rover alive. Currently rebuilding my stretched 110 (now 122) to personal spec, probably going to be a double cab dropside, but not fully decided yet. So I've started at the front end first! http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic41658.html "Sorry love, don't make me choose between you and my Lanny. You won't like the answer....." |

I personally don't get how these "designers" actually get away with it! REALLY!? Designers??? Its the emperors new clothing in my opinion! My 2 year old little girl has more design ability with her Barbie crayons! She could have done a better job than that! Its hardly "design" is it!? Bit of coloring!

I think the blue used on the roof is a very nice colour, wonder what it would look like on a full vehicle?

I understand that they used her to appeal to a target audience, footballers wives are one of those things that will get people's attention. It would be amusing if she wanted the seats covered in football leather, and a 'Spice' rack in the glove box! I'm sure she was lovely to work with, but my point is that they wouldn't have asked her if she wasn't famous. I'd much rather see someone who has experience doing the job. But the reality is that they probably picked bits from a catalogue, and proper technicians put it together. Then again Victoria Beckham in oily overalls would appeal to a completely different group of people entirely, maybe JLR thought this one through a lot deeper than originally assumed.......!
