My 110 did 120k miles mainly near GVW on 285s with 30mm spacers and at180k now is still on original wheelbearings on 3 of 4 wheels, and on original swivels with original shims. The 4th wheelbearing failed for other reasons.

It's now on Blindos with reduced offset and on 255/85.

The idea that your bearings are doomed if you run spacers really is an old wives' tale, bunkum. If you ran 150mm spacers, then maybe.

I've run them on mine and had no problems what so ever.
Go for it.
It make a huge difference on turning circle and handling is also better.

On the insurance issue, can you tell them that they are a safety upgrade?

If you have to swerve at speed, you're more likely to stay shiny side up. A bit like when they started putting brake lights in spoilers to claim the same thing.

HB Currently rebuilding my stretched 110 (now 122) to personal spec, probably going to be a double cab dropside, but not fully decided yet. So I've started at the front end first!
