67YRS leather case with a few tools is a special treat from the Swiss JLR importer for the Swiss Heritage buyers. It actually is Swiss made, and price is accordingly. I was offered one by our importer for the SVX, so know exactly how expensive, declined the offer because I'm after a slightly different Swiss Legend version. Either from the importer, if not, i will have it custom made myself. Mini Maglite torch is available as an official accessory here at 49.00 CHF, but that is torch without the leather support. I asked Ryan on here this question... They are not available from JLR. It was a 'local' country promotion. We do get a book however! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

The one that comes with the Heritage has got Jump start cables, tow rope and leather gloves in it. I know the one you are after, I believe it is slightly different size, does not have a handle but can be fixed to the rear door. Do not know if it comes with different tools. |

Here it is in all its glory. It s pity you can t put old style number plates silver on black on new vehicles in the UK. Flydrive could you pass me the details of the importer you bought your vehicle form and ordered the bag! I realise it might be a Swiss special edition but a bottle of goof single malt whisky along side a chocolate bar requires to be added to the back for emergency only you understand!

Our Australian brochure quotes a total of 2,654 Heritage models worldwide. So that would leave 2,254 for the international market. Still can't find out how many made it to Australia, but do know only 3 made it to West Australia, 2 x 110 & 1 x 90". |

Fly dive
Do you have the details of the importer who sold you the heritage. I would like to ask if they could sell me a bag similar to yours or provide me with details where I might source one from. Many Thanks |

nmccmc, the bag in my Heritage was included in the 67yrs Swiss deal, did not have to buy it separate.
I do not know if it is available to buy, I might drop in to the dealer in the next couple of days and enquire. I believe that there were at least 2 slightly different bags delivered with the limited edition Defenders over the years. One was attached to the rear door and does not have a handle, the other, like mine, was just "thrown" in and does have a carrying handle. Maybe Ericvv has more info. Anyway here is my dealer contacts. http://garagegardel.ch/sito/contatti/ |

Have a question as to the installation of these Mini Maglites which JLR Switzerland added to our Swiss Heritage models.
I know that the Maglite support with the two leather straps has a stainless steel base, but this one then simply is glued with some strong double sided tape on what appears to be something like an isomo block or so under that dashcover part. You can see what I mean in the below picture. Do normal Defender passenger side dashparts have such isomo block as standard glued underneath? My SVX does not have that, but then again, the SVX dash part may be different as on the underside it has standard a support net with inside a cable and connector for a Apple iTouch. Consequently the underside of my dash part has nothing, so don't know how I could fix/glue the stainless strip with the two leather straps for this mini Maglite. Or, are all Defender passenger side dash parts empty/hollow at the underside and would this isomo block be part of the Mini Maglite package? Would like to find out as I may be able to get hold of one. No, please do not suggest a "group buy" for these. Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. Flydive,
Great pictures. Nice to see another Swiss Heritage 90. We are looking forward to collecting ours which has very similar specification to yours (I didn't order side steps with mine, but now wish I had after seeing yours and others on this site). I called the sales person at Safenwil where ours is awaiting collection since a couple of weeks ago and he confirmed that it comes with the Maglite & leather case and was pleased to hear that they are already in the vehicle. Thinking I might want to order the Snow Cowl as we just got plenty of the white stuff up here in the Mountains this weekend! |

Snowbine,
sidesteps(and all other options) were specified by the dealer, I bought one that they already ordered, thats why I got it so quickly. The sidesteps look good and are useful. Yes, the case and flashlight are included, the Tomtom too(I got the rubber carpets too) No snow here yet(and none on the horizon) but the snow cowl looks good. |

There are a number of suppliers of the 'industrial strength' double sided tape in the market. You can have just the tape itself or it attached to Velcro - which aids removal of an item (if required). The aircraft and automotive tapes are incredibly strong - so strong they can join structural parts together. Some are 'one-touch' applications with no room for error, others can be repositioned if quick. No-one in your local pub that works for 3M or an industry that uses these tapes? All you need is a few centimetres off the end of a roll or a 'sample'! I've found the Velcro tapes really handy for attaching a number of automotive accessories and they don't ever fall off. |

TomTom included, wow!! I didn't know about that. It has never been mentioned by the dealer.
Ordered ours at the Salon-Auto, Geneva on the last day of the show. It was a bit of an impulse purchase as the Heritage just looked amazing on the stand and was getting far more attention than the other Celebration Models there. My Wife loved it and as we were told by the representative from the General Importer for Switzerland that there was only one Heritage 90 left un-allocated at that time, so it was an easy decision to make. To be honest I would have preferred a Hardtop version but they were not available for the Swiss market. Ticked all the factory fit options (incl. A/C) except sun-roof !! Later we were given the choice to have carpets or rubber mats and chose carpet on the basis that it would provide better soundproofing. Will get some mats to put on top. I like the idea of fitting 30mm spacers as it does seem to provide a better stance with the Goodyears fitted. Hoping to collect it on December 22nd. Very excited as have owned several Discovery's in the past but never a Defender before, even though I have loved them since before I could drive. |

Tomtom, well it was in mine, believe is part of all the Defender special series here.
Mine was an impulse buy too, was at the dealership for another reason and they asked me if I wanted to buy it. Had only 1 day to decide if I wanted any changes on the option before the list was locked, so I left everything as it was. "ordered" end of August, delivered October 14th. My first Defender too, I have a RRS, and after one month very happy with it, everybody that sees it loves it. Yes, the spacers do look good |

Out of curiosity, is this 67YRS Mini Maglite available to order from JLR in the UK? Or is it again just a Swiss thing? Rgds, Eric You never actually own a Defender.
