A very appropriate page lift Martin. What an utterly senseless and barbaric act of cowardness by a bunch of thugs who have no place on this planet. I hope this horrific crime will now serve as a catalyst to unite the free and civilised world across all religions and nations against this crazed group of extremists. If we all stand together, as human kind in united solidarity', we can move on from this to a world determined to put and end to this utterly senseless violence. May all those lost RIP. What I find most worrying about all this is that all these extremist types don't seem to remember that we in the west have in living memory overcome much darker forces than them. We consequently have both the facility of what amounts to a lot of very big sticks and more importantly the will to use them if pushed far enough. These fanatic loons could do well to think on the lessons of history.
The other alternative to my mind would be something like; fine you lot want to live in some kind of predatory medieval social system ok that's not a problem we can build you a nice safe walled compound in some out of the way bit of the world but then you are on your own. No modern medical facilities, no antibiotics, no guns, no bombs, no social media, no electric, no cars, no oil non of it, oh and for good measure we can include a selection of medieval diseases which you have no immunity to. Good luck. Together we stand, divided we fall. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon. |
