Maybe not quite the answer, but LR/Garmin made a custom. Lunt for the SVX's so maybe an owner / dealer could help with how it's mounted and maybe source the part for you...

Make sure it's fused in-line. (I used 1A) They are where I got mine hard wired and just comes up behind dash. No need for more sockets or trailing cables |

Edotech also do a USB cable for charging a Garmin (in case you ever fit one of those neat dual USB outlets). Not a simple USB cable doesn't work, as it will convince your Garmin that the Defender is a source of map updates ![]() 2014 90 XS SW 1997 Discovery 300TdiS (retired to stud) 1966 Series IIA 88" (now my son's) 2001 Astra - I need something to go and buy the parts when the others are off the road! |

I know what you mean on that one.
The one with the 90 degree plug on I have for a Nuvi 1300 that has worked perfectly for a long while now. The plug in the socket as standard is a ![]() They are cheap too, and IIRC delivered from the US and tax exempt due to low value. |

Mind, the Land Rover installation kit will provide an older type wiring, the one for the Nüvi 7xx series which today does not exist anymore. More recent Garmin series will most likely not accept that type of wiring anymore. There is a seller on ebay who offers all or part of that type of Garmin wiring for the Defender. See below. Eric http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defen...xyhotSMHMs You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
