I think I prefer it without the air scoop also.
Have you spacers with the alloys? Thanks |

There is no air scoop, just a rain/snow cover over the heater intake if that's what you mean? Unless you're talking about the raised air intake which I agree with you on, it's not being fitted
Nope, no spacers. Sawtooth alloys have less inset that boosts so the centreline of the wheel sits ~13mm further outboard. That's why it looks wider. |

Cheers Yup, 265/75R16.
Did some more silent coating today. I've done the side panels and the tub floor, just the rear arches to go but I think that's where I'll get the most benefit from as the noise from road spray is huge. Plan is to then rubber line the whole lot, although the dog would prefer carpet! |

Finally got round to fitting my Bellyfender Steering Guard. Its a new name in the market, but the engineering and fabrication skills will be familiar to many of you, especially those from Devon...
Anyway, its a lovely bit of kit, 1st class engineering. Here's some pics. Main brackets, including recovery loops Click image to enlarge Close up of the Recovery loop area Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge All fitted. Very impressed. Available from Duckworths (where I got the truck from too!) can't recommend them highly enough. Click image to enlarge |

Looks good Andy,
Who supplied the wheels and tyres? MSE - It was a one off direct from the manufacturer, however if you go through Duckworths see if you can put a request in for a black one. Failing that, a few notes spent on powder coating will have the same result. I'd recommend one, not that I've bashed it into anything yet, but its stylish and well engineered. |

mcma1 - I'd had the wheels in the garage for ages before I got the truck, they were from a car being broken and got a great deal on them. As for tyres, ordered from Oponeo once the 110 arrived. Happy with the combo, although in an ideal world I'd have been able to get the Duratracs in 235 or 255 flavour, then I'd have put them on colour coded Wolf steels. |

Cheers, really thinking about going to sawtooths instead of the twisted wheels to have a move factory look. Love the extra width you get from the 265's. Will speak to my tyre guy today and see what can be found. Andy

Feel your pain
I looked for ages for the tyres, very few places had stock. Even when they did get some, they didn't hang around. Doesn't bode well should I need a replacement at any point. Don't give up What you will need once you get them is a set of these Dirt D-Fenders which I've just fitted. Stuck them on with sikaflex, will see how that works out! Click image to enlarge Also got a load more Silent Coating done in the rear. So thats the rear tub all done now, even behind the speakers (sod to get the trims back on). All that will eventually be covered by 3mm rubber matting, like the standard rear floor stuff. Click image to enlarge |
