wot they said
![]() 2 self tappers into the A-pillar. Some people replace them with rivnuts and in my experience the self tappers can work loose after a while. If you're fitting them, don't drill the hole too big (or they won't bite) and watch the wires behind the pillar ![]() + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Mine (mil spec) is attached with four stainless socket head capscrews with Nylocs on the inside of the pillar, plus sealant round the screws.
As others have said, however you fix it watch the cables up the inside of the pillar, and also look out for the reinforcing webs on the inside of the pillar (avoid them when drilling). |

On that specific snorkel it doesn't use self tappers (unlike most snorkels) but it uses M6 bolts..... I took mine off not long ago

Two self tapping hex head screws/bolts hold the stainless steel bracket to the A pillar. You have to drill a 5mm hole and the screws/bolts cut their own 6mm thread into the ally ![]() Click image to enlarge The position the the bolts is determined by the stainless steel bracket that is bolted to the RAI ![]() Click image to enlarge Full instructions can be found here PS there are two pages of photographs ![]() https://www.defender2.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=26 130's have feeling's as well you know ![]() |
