Started to cut out the bulkhead to fit a MUD removal bar. Longest job so far was pulling all the junk out of the car before I started. Had to set up a couple of bashas to keep the rain off as the weather was a bit minging but it's all good. I discovered that I had to cut the panel from the rear despite marking it out on the front - the sole plate on the jigsaw was sitting on the ridge and keeping the blade above the line. Was going well, but the battery on my Dremel died so called it a night.

Ok, not today, but have been meaning to post since last week. Used the beast to gain a little altitude before going for a walk towards the 'Dome de Miage'. Stunning weather, beautiful walk starting in a picturesque village of farmhouses (Le Champel), initially through a lovely forest, but as you turn a corner and head up the valley you are faced, slap bang in front of you, with the Western flank of Mont Blanc, the direction of attack used for the first successful summit attempt in 1786 and now known as the Royal Route. Truly majestic and highly recommended. Saw a handful of Bouquetin (Ibex) as well, just a few metres away.

Yesterday went to the Neil Howard Stages at Oulton Park. Four recoveries, one suspended and three straight tows.
Here is the suspended.

Finished off the MUD bulkhead removal bar and also fitted a pair of MUD seat rails to my drivers seat. When fitting the bulkhead bar, don't strive to make too neat a job of the cutting out by following the scribed line too closely, I did and discovered that I really needed to take out about 2mm more metal all round Big Cry After this the fitting of the bar was very straight forward, glad I tackled it myself. Doing the jobs on the car myself, I am starting to get more intimate with the insides of the motor, discovering where cables run, where the wee holes are that you can poke a wire down inside to hide it etc. One thing I had previously purchased was a trim removal kit, this has been very handy for removing the likes of the 'christmas tree' type clips and the like. If you are contemplating doing a lot of the interior work yourself then I would recommend purchasing a set.
Pics are stripped and ready to start, bar fitted and interior back in.
