Snow tyres - Are there any in the UK?
I've been after a set of 235/85X16 snow tyres for a few days and have drawn a complete blank. Apparently listing them on a website doesn't mean they have them in stock or even access to any Confused

I'd prefer Nokian but would settle for Cooper Discoverer M+S.

Does anyone now of anywhere that actually has them in stock?

Otherwise I can see a trip to europe to collect a set. Rolling Eyes "If it ain't sideways, you just ain't tryin'!

Have you tried Silverline?
You'd need to phone them for stock.

Yes I've already spoken to Chris at Silverline. It looks more like there's none in Europe, let alone the UK. Rolling Eyes

I was looking for a set of Nokian winter tyres (for winter touring whilst towing) recently and found from the nokian website this company in Eastbourne:

Tyreco trading ltd.
Unit 7, hackhurst lane
hackhurst industrial estate
East Sussex
BN27 4BR Lower dicker (nr hailsham)
Tel. +44 (0)1323 844 600

Turned out they didn't have any but could order them with a 6-8 week delivery time Thud

Also gave the local tyre dealer here a call and the closest they have in stock is Federal MS351 at about £80.00 each. They have 6 in stock and will post if your interested.

Wouldn't bother with them driven mine through 2 ft of snow no worries at all. Thumbs Up

i don't know what the nokians are like but the coopers are like glue on the road. we have had about 40cm and not all the roads / motorways are cleared and the cooper discoverers just grip!

I bought mine in the UK in December, I spoke to a kind lady at coopers in Melksham Wiltshire and they arranged delivery to a local tyre centre who fitted them onto my new matt black ZUs. Might be worth calling Cooper / Avon direct in Melksham ?

I paid about £100 per tyre including delivery for 235/85/16s - you don't really want 265s for the snow !
