Enid's "What I spotted at work" thread
Working in a main dealer does have its good bits

Thought a wee thread showing some of the stuff I have seen recently kicking about the place would be cool Cool
Some are customers vehicles in for service/repair
Others are folks nice shiney new toys awaiting collection

Some are staff members toys Very Happy

Adventure edition heading to one of our other branches
It never even came off so this is all I could get

Interesting that the Adventure has turned up with the roof rack fitted, I'm sure I read a post on here that one of the members new vehicles had arrived at their dealer and was waiting on the rack turning up! Confused

No centre rib on the DCPU's tailgate? Unusual!

Blackwolf, does that observation fall into the 'subject matter knowledge' category or 'geeky obsession'? Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

Probably all of those! Rolling with laughter

It struck me that it looked odd, and that made me look closer. It isn't easy to remove the centre rib without leaving a blemish, and it weakens the tailgate quite significantly, so I just wondered really why anyone would bother.

It's possible that at some time someone's dropped the tailgate onto the tow hitch and dinged the rib, and it was easier to remove it and leave it off than to repair it, I suppose, but it seems most likely it is purely cosmetic.

Oh the 'house' excuse. I have to use it regularly, but normally because Mrs Grenadier has spent the cash first. If she told me to go out and buy more defender stuff, let alone a new Defender, I'd be off in a flash. Thumbs Up

But given she has literally just left the house to pop to a local design shop and blow a grand on a couple of ceiling lights, my next upgrade must wait! Big Cry Monsieur Le Grenadier

Feel your pain Grenadier!!! My wife isn't too bad but when the opportunity to buy this house came up all expenditure stopped and she sold her Q5 and took a company vehicle so I felt bad considering changing my 110 Crying or Very sad

Still messing around between solicitors and banks at this point and all the while the with list is totting up with a new kitchen, curtains, lights, carpets, etc, etc................ Shocked

I'm planning to change the headlining on my 110 to the black alcantara but to do that I first need to get a customer to pay the last of a retention amount which is over 18month old, sort of a commission to make me get off buy backside and do it!! Evil or Very Mad 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon
