I realize a very old thread, but I now have this exact problem. Was there a resolution?

I had a similar problem, turned out to be a small leak in the vacuum hose to the servo. The brakes worked fine and there was some power assistance but it was weak, you had to really push, and there was no 'bite'. Much better with a new piece of hose.

I recently replaced my brakes, rotors, pads and calipers on my 2000 TD5 with the Alive setup having had ongoing problems with poor brake performance
It is now very good and progressive. I would recommend looking at this setup. TC |
