The chances of making that Range Rover L322 cubby box fit are slim.
There are a number of after market cubbies with different storage options, maybe look at those? 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Hi,
I am only looking for the LID with the first level Storage which comes as part of the LID, not looking to fit the entire Range Rover cubby. Only the LID with the first level storage. I read your thread "Ultimate Defender" before posting the question, very interesting post (though it was started a couple of years ago), as you had said I am just trying to make it as comfy as possible. can you post some links to any good cubby manufacturer/re-seller , I looked at FCX but that is not what I am looking for; I already have a good cubby box, I am just looking at the option of having a separate storage in the cubby lid as it is in Range Rover, Discovery etc. |

Hi Arsath,
This isn't what you are asking about but could help achieve what you are looking for: http://www.lrisolutions.co.uk/index.php/lr...-tdci.html It turns the cubby into quite a well organised space. cheers |

I couldnt find anyone that made or sold them like that so made one myself. just the right height and enough room for extra bits and bobs
easy to make with some wood, foam, leatherette and hinges. looks ok aswell. Might eventually do another better and send it off to a trimmers to be done in leather |

Tom now that is an innovative idea that will undoubtedly be pounced upon by someone commercially perhaps? Watch this space.

I have been toying with the idea of converting a Range Rover or Discovery console for some time and concluded I would not be able to get what I wanted. Am now in the process of building a custom unit, at the mocking up stage just now.
Aims: Must look original Increase front comfort, raised and padded Run from cubby to dash Increase occasional storage House dash switches relocated from double din upgrade Give rear passengers cup holders and power points Track extra vents from front to rear passengers Must say it is looking pretty good so far. |

if you put anything in too 'range rover' it could potentially look rubbish and just stick out. my ultimate plan is for a conversion to 4 recaros with the second row cubby (like the twisted truck) will be keen to see what you come up with Andy

Maybe FCX could make you something similar if you ask them. The owner of FCX is extremely inventive. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Sort of, on the other hand I could see the mental gogs spinning in Mat’s head at FCX once he reads this thread and the opportunity to swell his bank balance. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Reckon they must be drawing it up now Mal
Must say its one of the most sensible things ive done and works very well. I normally only do un-practical things to my defenders so it makes a change |
