2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
Radio option on Heritage
Mine arrives in a couple of weeks and am keen to get some sounds.

Does anyone know if it will have wiring for the speakers and the head unit in situ? I assume it will as I can't believe they would have different looms. So, would then be a simple case of getting some speakers and a head unit?

Next question is, which units to use?

I know I can do a search in the ICE section but just want a high quality unit which has:
Radio, pref DAB
bluetooth for iphone and music

plus being a luddite, it needs to be really simple to use.

thanks for any advice.

I`m hoping and sure it will have all the wires and just need speakers and a head unit. But won`t know until it arrives. I`m going to have one similar to the current xs one

If it wasn't funny, it would be pathetic!

Whilst I am very excited about my Heritage, it utterly begs belief that in 2015, a £ 31,000.00 GBP vehicle does not even come fitted with a radio! Rolling Eyes Let alone A/C! Whistle

Is the UK the ONLY market for the Heritage that this is the case? Big Cry

My 90 'XS' spec Keswick Green 90, delivered in Australia over 12,000 miles from Solihull, came with the uprated Alpine sound package with Sub, A/C, Premium Leather Seats, towbar etc... and in UK money, it cost me £ 22,300 GBP!

WTF! Mr. Green YOLO... You Only Live Once...

It certainly is not funny Pete, but is horrifically pathetic... Rolling Eyes

Funny, thought that was the point of the Heritage edition - a throwback to the original barebones vehicle?

Saw our first Heritage on the road in downtown Aus a couple of days ago,...it was a 90, We couldn't stop to have a good look, but from a distance it looked very nice. Immediately noticeable with that lovely shade of green too.

Complete with heated seats and heated screens... Rolling Eyes

But not AirCon or even a simple radio (with blanking piece and wiring included though!)... Whistle

Seems like they simply could not make their minds up what to do for the best either way... Mr. Green

During my, shall we say, extended exchanges at the time, I was informed a radio was a simple dealer fit job as the wiring was already in place... Whistle

But don't quote me on that if you find it is not true, because I lost all faith in everything I was told during those sorry times... Mr. Green
