German Defender official farewell event
Do I understand correctly that also JLR Germany are going to have a big Defender farewell party? Seemingly in May 2016 at the German Land Rover Experience center in Wülfrath.

German JLR now seem running a competition under the name "Defender Momente" where all German Classic Land Rover/Defender drivers can post pictures or a movie accompanied by a story related to a Defender experience, and the public can then vote which one they like most, with the winner getting as a price the last Defender imported in Germany, a Heritage model. Link below.

Another nice tribute to the new Legend in the making. Well done JLR Germany. Thumbs Up

Just found out that Land Rover France is also organizing their official Land Rover Series/Defender farewell party, in their case on Saturday 21 November at the Autodrome de Linas-Monthléry, a historic circuit in the Paris vicinity.
Due to overwhelming demand, registration is already closed now. Hope it is going to be as sparkling an event as our Swiss Defender farewell party we had here this summer. Anybody on here participating?
Here is the website link, but as said no more link for registration. If someone with a Series or Defender would still like to participate, they ask to send an e-mail request to: pressefr@jaguarlandrover.com

JLR Switzerland do not stop surprising us. Just received mail from them that given that the Defender now is becoming a true Legend, they are producing a dedicated magazine entirely dedicated to the Defender history. We all will receive it in the mail in January. If it is going to be of the same quality of the Safenwil Defender farewell event this summer, this is going to be another collectors item. Thumbs Up
