Take off the exhaust and ECU...I'll take them off your hands?!!

And I'm sure there'd be a ready market for the other Bowler bits. You're basically giving them away with the truck at the moment.

Ahhh....just noticed you're not taking bits off. Fair enough. Good luck.

The ECU is coded to the car via the VIN number so can't be re-used Thumbs Up Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

"UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

I believe the ECU can be re-used; however, it would have to be recoded to the new owners VIN by Bowler or their software provider; however, as the ECU of my Defender isn't up for sale as a stand alone, this is a moot point. Wink

Thanks for the kind words, chaps.

I've thought long and hard about this decision and it hasn't been easy.

As an aside, I've been asked what interior the XS has and it has the standard XS spec half leather seats and interior.

AM94, your correct but its not just a simple as flashing the ECU and I know its not relevant in this instance but for clarity - the Bowler ECU would need to be put back into its virgin state by Bowlers software folk (Bowler don't have the equipment to do this). Once done the ECU could then be coded to a new Defender 2.2 and a re-map applied by Bowler.

This process would cost the same if not slightly more than a full re-map from Bowler Thumbs Up Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

This is one of the most pristine Defenders that I've seen for sale on this Forum.
With production ceasing, & with all the ensuing ordering limitations, I believe this VERY special Defender will not last long, before a potential owner who really knows what He wants, snaps it up.
A beautiful Defender. Pickles.

Pickles, could not agree more as she is a steal at the price asked especially with all the original parts to go with her and the Bowler parts fitted.

My intention was not to detract from the sale sa the Bowler ECU was being sold with the vehicle along with the original, just trying to shed some light on swapping ECU's from one Defender to another 👍 Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free
