CB reception
Having rigged up my CB should I be able to hear much chatter out there. All I get is fuzz noise in the main. Very rare do I hear anyone out there. Is this normal? Haven't tested it yet with anyone else on the same channel!

You rarely find others chatting these days. You need to find someone else with a rig to test yours ideally.

Its very unlikely you'll hear anyone.

The best bet, is to get on/near a motorway and try channel 19 (or scan the whole lot) and you'll probably pic up the truckers. Mind you, the language is usually pretty ripe so be careful who is in the Landy with you... Shocked

Or, find a friend with a CB and test that way. I find the range is around a mile, so you need to be fairly close.

cheers

All the CB morons found texting and have left those who use CB sensibly with a little peace and quiet.
