A nice day out?
Hi all,

The Mrs is wanting to go out somewhere different tomorrow, somewhere that we can take the Landy and a few sandwiches and walk the dog at the same time. We live on the outskirts of the Peak District so spend alot of time walking there and just fancy a change of scenery.

We would be looking at a couple of hours maximum drive (boxing on Sky Sports tomorrow night so need to be back in time!) and we are 5 minutes from junction 29 on the M1.

Does anybody know of anywhere in the Yorkshire dales that we could try? Any other suggestions for a nice walk and picnic in the landy?

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up Dog 58 plate Defender 90 Hard Top

How about the Long Mynd, over in Shropshire? Some lanes to do also.

Church Stretton has some nice cafes, if they float your boat.

There's a glider station and little airfield on top...wild ponies..we picnic up there often !!

Some pics from up there with a couple of my old 90's !!

The road up to the top of the Mynd is quite exciting...a big steep drop on one side !
