Loss of Power
I seam to have a problem with my landy.

Symptoms are, loss of power when the second rev stage should kick in.
It has been intermitantly failing over the past few months, but after using the landy all day it seams to have failed properly now.

I have removed the plug from the MAF but the fault is still there.
I replaced the engine injector loom in September.

Anyone have any ideas?

EGR valve? when it first started playing up i did get alot of smoke out of the exhaust, but not anymore.

Have you checked your air supply to the turbo?

Thanks for replys gents,

Ive had the EGR valve off and cleaned it up this evening.

The fresh air intake valve open and closes fine - fair bit of resistance.
The exhaust air valve was covered in gunk, cleaned it up and checked it opens/closes - quite a bit of resistance there too.

Refitted, still the same, buggar!

Ive had the rocker cover off, cleaned up the harness, and injector plugs/sockets and refitted, still no good (its a new harness as well)!

Taken it for a run, symptoms seam to be in 1st and 2nd you hit a dead band when the engine should deliver more power before changing gear. In 3rd the engine is lumpy, stuttering a bit.

Think i need to plug it in to a computer!

Hi stupid question....what part number K&N filter did you use? My 90 is an 06 and all the parts just seem to go up to 04...would assume same bit of kit for the last 2 years of the TD5 but very new to the car...

any help would be greatly appreciated. Previous
