Yeh was thinking about filming it and YouTuberizing it, as there seems to be not much in the way of videos of installs. I'll be taking pictures anyway... just incase it all goes wrong so I can look back at what was a perfect wing that doesn't resemble swiss cheese.

Fitted mine a couple of weeks ago to my TD5, hardest part was having the balls to drill the holes
![]() Best advice would be.......take ur time and ensure the template is accurately located before you mark and drill. ![]() Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() Def 90td5 CSW xs 2006 |

I was sure that Safari did an instruction video/leaflet on their website but could not find it. I know the instructions in the box are very detailed.
There are much cheaper brands of snorkels on the market. What I did find interesting on the Safari website was this comparison HERE and the tech report HERE Am glad we have Safari snorkels on our vehicles. What is the expression? buy cheap.............??? Brendan |

My balls were not big enough for this job. The landy was brand new when I bought the safari snorkel and after reading the fitting instructions my nads disappeared into my chest at the thought of drilling 4 big holes into the side of the wing ![]() ![]() |

must say i am not a fan of safari snorkels (although i have 1 fitted to my 110 crewcab)
if i had'nt got a good deal when buying it i would'nt have touched it because of it. i have a stainless 1 that came off my 56 plate 90 that would like to fit but with those frigging holes drilled in the wing i cant afford to have the said wing filled and resprayed atm ![]() 05 110 crew cab td5 1987 90 tc TD/200TDI DISCO CONVERTION ![]() |

I got mine for £170 online (advertised in LRO) which was the best price around...........I then put the removed side grille and removed air intake duct on ebay and got £26 for it which made my safari £144.....

Well, after almost four hours in a freezing garage it's on! The Lightweight is in the garage with half an engine, so couldn't get that out, so could only get the front end of Big Black in!
Got a mate to help and he drilled the holes.... ![]() Not sealed it up or anything, mainly because we were freezing to death! Took a few pictures and got a video of the 'holing' but will get them off the camera tomorrow. I can't feel my fingers yet! |
