265-75-16 v 245-75-16
I have calculated that the 245's would be approx 15mm smaller (ride height) than the 265's

As they will be fitted on a 2.2 90 would there be much noticeable difference in driving (acceleration / gearing) and looks. (looking to mount them on 16" bowlers).

Or should I just stick with the 265-75-16 fitment.

Any guidance would be good.

Pete

This seasons Defender Bowler Challenge rally cars are fitted with 245/75R16's. Obviously on 16" Bowler wheels. Guess they dont need ultimate ground clearance and the smaller OD helps with acceleration. They won't be too concerned by the loss of cruising ability.
For road use I'd stick with 235/85R16 or same OD but wider 265/75R16 if you prefer the wider look

Still undecided, anyone run 245-75-16 on the road ?
Looks like everyone runs 265 or 235 in the 16" rim then !!!!!

And as many on 255/85 (imho the best compromise) and 285/75.

7.50R16 here Rolling with laughter

I have a friend with 245s on his 90 and I think they look a bit weird, but each to their own.
Why are you looking to fit a different size? 7.50R16, 235/85R16 or 255/85R16 would be my choices, tall is good (unless you're going round corners really quickly).
