Rog,
That has all come together so so well! You must be very proud as well as happy! Brilliant mate! I will now be interested to 'hear' how quiet you find the drive with all that 'Dynamat' fitted? It should be great! One suggestion? I too fitted Gav's badges a while back but I riveted them on! Thought it looked more 'original' and in keeping with all the other rivets... as well as stopping scum bags unscrewing the badges and doing a runner! Mine now looks like this... [/img] YOLO... It is actually an XS Utility Wagon... I have not seen a V5 for a Double Cab, but assume it might be DC rather than D/C... As Enid_P has said, I have no idea what the D/C actually means, so perhaps you could educate us... Rog... The GREEN One... Thank you G. much appreciated...
Thanks Martin, a lot of the interior is still wrapped to provide precautionary protection over the next couple of days while the undercarriage is subject to Zag's magic... This means interior imagery will have to wait until next weekend, when I finally pick it up from West Sussex and get to drive it home...
I intend to do just that Darcy, thanks...
Cheers Pete, it has exceeded my early expectations and has turned out quite well... Thanks for the suggestion, I was a bit unsure about the rivet thing, so went for nut & bolt, which is easily changed if I later choose to pop the odd rivet... Rog... The GREEN One... Congratulations Rog, a fantastic build by you and Urban Truck.
How about naming it simply the 'keswick special', that seems to have been it's name during the build process and sums it up nicely 2015 Defender 90XS HT |

Just before the Special was loaded onto its own personal transport this morning, for the trip to Zag's down South...
Accompanied by a rather unexpected and lovely comment from the Urban Truck Team too: Quote; "We waved goodbye this morning to a very special build for a very special customer. Lots of bespoke work and customisation to achieve the customers visions. 110 Utility Wagon with Rear Gullwing tinted glass, Custom Drawer install, Keswick Green rework on premium leather, Heritage detailing in Olde English White, Custom made badges and lots of the normal Urban Technology and goodies ..." Thank you so very much guys, it has been emotional... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Rog... The GREEN One... Looks brilliant Rog... top draw!
Nice to see how much time and attention has been spent putting all the pieces together to end up with a really unique Defender. Enjoy it! Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

tremendous build, love it, great mix of traditional with understated bling. Particularly like the old school badging and colour combination

Looking good Rog.
As We've discussed all along sinse you (decided?!!!) that you would build your own vehicle, there is nothing like speccing up your very own Defender, the way YOU like it,.....it is then truly a Limited Edition, YOUR Limited Edition. There is no finer example of that, than this vehicle. Good stuff Rog, Martin. |

Thank you guys, very much, for your very kind words and support, it means a lot... The Keswick Special has arrived at Zagato's for him to work his magic on my undercarriage bits... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Not so sure I ever actually decided Martin, it just happened... But thank you, again, for your brilliant support and encouragement throughout the process of putting the Keswick Special together... And for the lovely compliments... : Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Looks amazing now out in the light of day!!! I actually think the wheels suit it really well mate... the right choice!
I was very impressed with UT with my dealings with them. They have a great set-up and a bunch of very enthusiastic guys who have obviously loved doing your 110... something a bit different from the more 'usual' variation of grey/black etc. I think OEW looks great with Keswick. Awesome contrast. Make sure you now send JLR a nice letter and a photo thanking them for cancelling your 'Heritage' order! Look after it carefully!!! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |
