non starter help needed urgently
Hiya people need your help I have a defender 90 td5 stripped it all had chassis galvanised etc. When I rebuilt it I lost me ecu earth so I put I direct earth to the ecu from the negative on the battery that solved the problem but ever since I stripped it the stupid thing I was having trouble getting it started. I was having to use easy start to make it fire up this worked ok for a while but now it won't start at all. Just turns over I've noticed the fuel pump in the tank is staying on for a while and it's not shutting off. And also when I try connect to the ecu it's saying connection error on the diagnostic machine but the ecu light is showing on my dash when I turn ignition on. Need serious help anything is really appreciated

I had a ecu light when one of my keys went chips. The spare starts it fine but the bad key just brings on the ecu light and wont start.

2009 - current .... 2005 zx10r

Sounds to me like the immobiliser may be causing the problem, loss of power can cause the 10AS to lose sync with the engine ECU.
