Careful question: You already changed the battery of the fob (CR2032)? If not, strictly refer to the procedure as mentioned in the manual and try again.

Use the EKA (Emergency Key Access) code to turn off the immobilizer if your remote is dead.
It's in the user manual, section "Alarm" paragraph "Disarming the alarm" (page 16). https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/c...oupId=1655 |

Thanks for your reply. I thought that when she was serviced eight months ago they replaced the battery then! I'll check with the garage first thing this morning. I suppose I could use the spare key fob as its not really been used. I'll let you know how I get on in a little while.

Thanks for all your help. I managed to flag down a Land Rover assistance chap earlier he told me to check the fuse for the central locking which had blown so I replaced it and then take the battery out of the key fob press the buttons for a minute then replace the battery and try again and would you believe it worked first time..!!!!!

Now you need to find why the fuse has blown. The most likely cause is the wiring to one of the door actuators breaking and shorting out - easy to find which one, it will be the door that no longer locks when using the remote.
You then need to get the wiring to that door repaired or replaced. |

Yes, it's one of the rear door locks that's not working. Do you know whether this is something I could look at or will need to book it in? Thanks.

It should be easy enough to repair yourself, splice in a new section of wire to replace the damaged section. Try to use wire that is meant for repeated flexing and use sealed splice connectors. It can be a bit fiddly routing the wire through the rubber sleeve though.
