Surely if they were going to drop the box, they would put in a new clutch anyway???
As you say, it's common to rattle, and can't be much else but the clutch,other than adaptor shaft. Seems a bit daft to me! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Well yes, it would be ludicrous to drop the gearbox and then conclude that the clutch is fine or that it is normal wear and tear for a clutch to need replacing at 30K. However I can understand that the dealer is going to want to be paid for 4 hours labour to find out if they don't trust their ears.
