7mm standard or 3mm after tweaking I think may be the figures you may be after? There are comprehensive details with photographs how to tune 200 and 300 TDIs below on a link I posted elsewhere. This may give you an idea how to roll it back perhaps or get it how you want it to run? Good luck.

Thanks K9F from reading that would you say the 7mm is meaning the underside edge of the top cover once it's sprung up?

That is how I read it!
![]() Either way if you take careful measurements and mark things up yourself before 'fettling' you will be able to revert back to where you are now and be no worse off.
