Will be keeping a eye open for it then. Who needs a heritage you can't do anything to when you can make your own

Narp - Totally standard motor Martin... Well, very nearly... Why Mantec? I believe they represent good value for money, especially in a hugely over-budget situation... And, in line with Pete's fitting post above, they have been an Urban Truck staple, so they are well versed with their fitting and they look pretty good too (seen on the flesh today!)... Rog... Coinkidinkerly, I was speaking to Simon at UT today, they still have just a very few original, brand new Defenders left in their own stock, waiting for their new owners to claim them and specify their own 'Special' build requirements... So opportunity is not yet lost to do something similar to one's own unique style... But, spaces are limited and opportunities dwindling, so you best get in pdq... Rog... The GREEN One... Managed to haul myself over to MK to see progress on the 'Special' for myself today...
And request another slight change... First things first, I had a good look around the wheels and have to say I am reasonably satisfied with the decision to go with the Challengers... Click image to enlarge The internals starting to be re-fitted... Click image to enlarge A closer look at the rear windows and quarters... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And a quick look at the front end modifications... Click image to enlarge The next time I will see the 110 Keswick Special will be next Monday - Finished... But I am hoping there will be one or two more progress photographs in the meantime... Rog... Lovely!
The OEW works really well mate. Great decision! Have you had the chassis treated yet? (I need to find someone near Hertfordshire to treat 'Huey' when he arrives!) YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Pete,
I know Chris (Zagato) always get's highly recommended on this forum for his rustproofing but it is with good reason, he does a fantastic job and is really helpful and very good value. He's based just outside Billingshurst in West Sussex which should be within a couple of hours drive from Hertfordshire, it's certainly worth having a chat with him. 2015 Defender 90XS HT |
