This thread just opitimises why I love defenders so much. Rog, great work, you will have one special landy, although I must say that the third picture in the last series looks like the back of my stereo ( had to explain to the kids what one of those was)
Keep em coming Rog. Superb |

Rog, that looks awesome, what a transformation the truck is going through!
You have treated yourself nicely there I'm sure it will be a cherished one. Good to see UT at work, always nice to get some insight. Keep the pics coming. A utility wagon can be bought and the vat reclaimed so it's 20% off straight away.
The windows in Rog's build are hatch Windows I believe for easy access to equipment when on a big trip. A station wagon would need too much work to convert. |

Thanks Jo, me too, I just hope it lives up to expectations now, especially with the build up everyone is giving it... I think he recovered it eventually... Simon and all the guys at Urban Truck could not have been a better team to work with, they have been especially patient with my pontifications, additions and changes, which are still happening even now, a superb team to entrust my Special to... I aim to try Fabio, although I am pretty much caught up for the time being... Thanks for the kind words nidge, although the awesome work is all down to the superb team at Urban Truck, I can only really take credit for doing my best to disrupt their progress... Thanks for stopping by Darcy, see Steve E's response, below, which pretty much sums up my thought processes... It is certainly a keeper for sure, thank you for the compliments... I can heartily recommend Urban Truck from my personal experience of working so closely with them on this Special, to me, project, they have pretty much given me free reign of their premises whenever I have turned up to see progress and discuss requirements! They have given me confidence in the decision to run with them, from start to, hopefully, finish... And, no, I have not settled on an appropriate name yet, any suggestions gratefully received... Pretty much spot on Steve, thank you sir... Although you did miss one crucial point, I am not a big fan of the standard slidey type windows... Thanks Tom, although the nose is not 'quite' finished yet... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Top job Rog, and with "UT", you've got NO worries with quality.
And another important aspect, you're one of the last that can do this mate,.....I would suggest that even now, to order a new Defender to your specs, may be impossible, and if it isn't, in all cases now, it very soon will be. So, VERY special mate, keep up the good work. Martin. |

i like everything i see....
apart from the wheels are they 18"? maybe if the car sat level they would look better but i think the spokes just look a little too thin or something just isn't right. i think id of played around with some hutchinson steels... Click image to enlarge |
