Thanks! You're right it wasn't quite as stormy as the photo looks - it's an iPhone shot and I've edited it a bit with an app called Snapseed. Just pushed up the definition and contrast a bit.

Drove the Defender to and from work (as usual) but it was such a pretty evening that I just had to stop on the way home to take a photo...

That is the main highway between Auckland and Wellington mate! Very Happy

A good example of parking on the hard shoulder when taking a photo too. Wink YOLO... You Only Live Once...

You're not far wrong! Here are the exact directions for getting to that precise location, starting at the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the middle of New Zealand's largest city...
1. Drive 32 miles North on State Highway 1
2. Turn right onto McKinney Road and drive 3/4 mile
3. Turn right onto Thompson Road and drive 1/4 mile
4. Stop and take photo!
