My 2015 Defender 90 XS
Hello

I have been into Land Rover's for longer than I remember and have always wanted a Defender. So, reluctantly, I sold one of my Lightweights that I had lovingly rebuilt...

and visited my local dealer. I couldn't resist their 90 XS Station Wagon demonstrator and after gentle persuasion they agreed to let it go early and sold it to me Very Happy

I don't need to tell you how happy I am with it Thumbs Up

That lightweight looks fantastic and it must have been a bind to part with it, but your new ride is something you always wanted so congrats and welcome Thumbs Up

Very smart!

That Lightweight is awesome, not seen a 'standard' one in yellow before, was that what it wore in service for some reason? Pete

Thanks for the welcome and comments.

The lightweight was an ex-RAF vehicle, military reg 32 AJ 13 and I believe it was a glider school vehicle when in service. When restoring it there was evidence of the yellow paint everywhere and seeing as I already have a green lightweight I thought I'd go for something different and put it back to the 'in service' colour.

Here's what it looked like the day I got it home, top and bottom bulkheads and chassis totally rotten!
