Chainsaw Alley - A pretty tight and technical lane
After hearing a lot about it, I went out to film Chainsaw Alley in Shropshire at the weekend. I’m not sure the video does it justice but what a brilliantly technical lane. A bit of everything and incredibly tight almost all the way through. I think almost everyone took a few knocks.

Embarrassed to say I wimped out of taking my lifted 110 through and jumped in with someone else!

Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.

It's quite a tight lane with a well earned reputation. It's quite local to me and I must admit that when I see videos of others doing it I keep vowing to not bother doing it again Whistle It is responsible for folding me allready folded up steps completely under the floor on the nearside so much so that you had to get on your hands and knees to see if they were still there.
The last time I went was on a photo shoot for LRM, taking one of their photographers round back in January and managed to get my motor in the magazine a few times

That was taken on Chainsaw Alley, I did hear that there's a tree hanging across the lane which gives me even more of an excuse to miss it out next time I do the lanes in the area.
A few on here might know via facebook a chap with an over polished 300tdi Station Wagon, I managed to get him to come out laning a couple of years ago on his first ever jaunt, the first lane I took him on? Chainsaw Alley Mr. Green
He absolutely loved it apart from the odd mudflap and the Paddy Hopkirk roofrack he had at the time

Needless to say Louis his Defender was washed that Sunday night before he got home, might have been something to do with changing the colour of it whilst on Black Yatt Whistle

You might have just identified an errant Oggie! As the lane is only within spitting distance of Wales the little blighter might have decided to make a bid for freedom Whistle

Laughing Good decision I reckon Lee. I've dented a roof and bent a bumper down there in the past. It's not a lane I'm in a hurry to drive again, it's a good lane but not one of the one's that's good enough to the point where I'd risk panel damage to drive it.

I hate dodging stuff because I polish and look after mine and it's fairly new in Land Rover years so I hate people accusing it of being a shiny show pony but this one was a step too far!! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.
