I bought a DAB radio two years ago, paid a fair wack for it too. The two stations I listened to have now come off DAB and gone internet only. This was due to the DAB rental being massive ! So the station went with internet as its practically free in comparison.
Then the DAB feature of the head unit stopped working. Kenwood want me to replace the unit. Local tech shop had no interest in repairing.
Began streaming teamrock on the phone after this and, well.... Don't need any thing repaired or replaced now. Internet radio stations are abundant. And data is quite cheap now. I think data radio is the future. I think DAB is a bit like minidisc players were. Good for a period but fast replaced with something simpler and cheaper.
Lots of the single din flip out, high end brands, have bolt on modules. I did win a cheap Kenwood on the internet once and the box that arrived was massive ! It had 5 modules that I was expected to hide in the dash ! Then wire.
I sold it
Eanon make affordable head units and may stock something to your desire.
Can any one clarify, am I the only person that cant use the hands free when moving ? The echo of a land rover makes it impossible for people to hear me ?

Unlited data from three and 20GB from o2 never hit the limit
Hmmmm, an interesting option. Wonder what's more compressed, DAB or streaming? I'm guessing it'll be streaming. Worth a look though. I do know coverage wise I've run into no mobile signal in places where the DAB continues to play just fine. Guess it depends on location, but overall I think DAB has the edge countrywide.

This is exactly why I just went for a none dab stereo. I was looking for quite a while for the perfect dab radio then the stations I listened to on my home dab radio decided to go internet only so I bought a head unit with the features I wanted which is lots cheaper without dab and I'll just stream the stations I want.
